SCHOLASTIC

The school has the necessary accreditation from the government of Karnataka and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education in the year 2018.

We follow the CBSE syllabus through a well planned and need based yet flexible, challenging and creative curriculum, which is in keeping with our guiding philosophy.

Board and Curriculum

CBSE has introduced a revised assessment scheme for Grade X from the academic year 2017-18. It comprises 80 marks weightage for the Board Examination (full year’s syllabus) and 20 marks weightage for internal assessment. Visual and Performing Arts, Physical and Health Education, Yoga and Work Experience are also compulsory. Discipline – attendance, sincerity, behavior and values - has been stressed upon and students will be graded on a 5-point scale. For the purpose of uniformity, the same assessment model will be replicated for Grades VI-IX.

Kindergarten

The Kindergarten is a dynamic environment in which we see significant developments in physical, emotional and intellectual growth from the formative years to graduation.

Our school provide an opportunity for children to be in a structured setting with teachers and groups of children where they will learn to share and follow instructions, raise their hand when they want to ask a question, take turns, and share the teacher’s attention. Every child should have this sort of group experience before they start school.

We teach pre-math and pre-literacy skills which make the child grow up too soon. These will not cut into important play time that every child deserves. A high-quality childhood education offers both. In fact, these programs are based on learning through play, so learning will be fun for your kid, have no doubt!

In our school, children will learn how to compromise, be respectful towards others, and solve problems. Our school will provide a place for the children to gain a sense of self, explore, play with their peers, and build confidence.

Young children will learn letters and numbers in our school, but at their own pace and through playing games. Our school does not sit kids down and ‘teach’ them because that would be the wrong way to do it. Instead, they teach them through doing various kinds of activities your kids find interesting, like story-time, talking to the teachers about stars, playing with blocks, etc. For example, to help kids learn language and strengthen their pre-reading skills, teachers in our school play rhyming games and let kids tell stories. To help kids learn pre-math skills, teachers will ask their little students to count food items during snack time, use calendar to count down days to their long awaited preschool play, or play memory games with them.

The Primary School

Teaching students how to learn is just as important as teaching them what to learn. We encourage our students to think for themselves, ask questions and pursue their interests through independent reading and research.

The curriculum is regularly updated to stimulate students’ interests and gain the knowledge they need to compete in the fast-changing 21st century global world. Teachers strive to make the classes as interactive as possible and use different methods to get the best out of each student. Collaborative learning is incorporated into lessons so students can share ideas and learn with and from each other.

Students are engaged in experiential learning through a variety of resources. Drawing, Art & craft, Music, Yoga, Chanting, Work Education and Physical Education are additional curricular offerings to all students.

The Primary School comprises Grades 1 to 5. The Teaching pedagogy of these years focuses on developing the intellectual capabilities.

Students become more independent learners. Learning goes beyond books through projects, multimedia presentations, group work and collaborative learning.

As students move to and through the primary school we introduce them progressively to the world of integrated knowledge, while particularly strengthening their aptitude in the core subjects like English, Hindi, Kannada, Mathematics, General Science and Social Science.

We introduce computers from Grade 1. Children also start using the Math Lab materials from Grade 1, which help them sharpen their analytical skills. We encourage students in the primary school to do various projects in Environmental Science to create awareness about conservation of natural resources.

Students have Physical Training classes to develop their agility and fitness. Art& Craft, Drawing and Music classes in the primary school create an interest and appreciation of these creative forms.

We conduct lot of competition in our school for the holistic development of children. We follow language system as per the CBSE board rules.

Middle & Secondary School

Middle & Secondary level includes from Grade VI to X.

Stepping into this, our students are ready to face more challenges and do an in-depth study in all subjects. We introduce Sanskrit as an additional language. Students begin participating in inter-school competition. From Grade VI onwards we follow NCERTbooks.
